eak takes stock: Là-Haut draws near sell-out crowds all summer at the Sentier des cimes Laurentides

In search of activities that enrich the visitor experience, the Sentier des cimes Laurentides team has collaborated with the artists of Vague de Cirque to create a breathtaking series of shows. Further events are in the pipeline.

Mont-Tremblant/ Quebec. Erlebnis Akademie AG looks back on an extraordinary summer at its Treetop Walk in Canada (Sentier des cimes Laurentides): the spectacular circus show ‘Là-Haut’ (English: ‘Up There’) transformed the Treetop Walk's viewing tower into a unique stage between the sky and the forest. The shows were almost completely sold out, captivating around 8.000 spectators.

From 3 rd of July to 31 st of August 2025, ‘Là-Haut’ presented an acrobatic aerial theatre show that combined contemporary circus with immersive storytelling. The evening performances took place from Wednesday to Saturday, timed to coincide with sunset, and were supplemented by three special performances. The response was overwhelming: guests left over a hundred personal messages for the artists – a sign of the emotional connection the show created.

A unique experience at lofty heights

The idea for ‘Là-Haut’ arose from the desire to further enrich the visitor experience at the Sentier des cimes. In collaboration with the renowned Quebec circus Vague de Cirque, a bold vision became reality: a large-scale aerial acrobatics show in the 40-metre-high observation tower, combining nature, art and emotion in a special way.

‘We are proud and delighted that “Là-Haut” embodies the boldness, accessibility and beauty of our wilderness and has inspired so many people,’ says Nicolas Joly, Managing Director of Sentier des cimes Laurentides. ‘The feedback from the audience has far exceeded our expectations – many guests were deeply moved by the quality of the performances and the unique atmosphere.’

Partnership is to continue

The collaboration with Vague de Cirque, known for its creative productions in unusual locations, was once again a resounding success. ‘This tower is a unique playground for our artists – an invitation to reinvent circus performances in the heart of nature,’ says Noémie Gervais, co-founder of Vague de Cirque.

Erlebnis Akademie AG would like to express its sincere thanks to all partners, artists and supporters who made this visionary project possible. Among many others, these include the Quebec Ministry of Tourism and the Mountain Plan, which funded the show with £187,500, thereby making it possible. Plans for a sequel in the summer of 2026 are already underway. The goal is to bring the extraordinary experience of ‘Là-Haut’ – in a new edition – back to the stage again next year.

About Sentier des cimes Laurentides

Opened in July 2022, the Treetop Walk near Montreal is an accessible nature experience of international standing. Almost three kilometres long, the path leads through the treetops of the Laurentian Forest and ends at a 40-metre-high lookout tower with spectacular panoramic views.
