The Black Forest

About 200 kilometers long and 30 - 60 kilometers wide, the Black Forest is Germany's largest low mountain range and represents most diverse natural landscapes such as long forested hills in the North, wide grassy valleys in the Central Black Forest, and alpine mountain peaks reaching up to 1493 meters elevation in the South.
