Bavarian Forest National Park

The Bavarian Forest National Park was Germany’s first national park, and opened its gates to visitors on October 7, 1970.

Our philosophy is "Let nature be nature", and there’s nowhere else between the Atlantic and the Urals where the forests, marshes, mountain streams and lakes have been allowed to spread over such a large area according to their own laws in this unique, wild forest landscape*.
